We are having a general meeting this Sunday, November 13th at 10am!
We will be voting in a new treasurer and we require at least 5 non-executive members who are Dal or King's students to be present for the vote to count. Everyone is welcome to come and we'll be doing some work around the garden afterward if you'd like to stick around!

We will meet at the garden, but if the weather is not nice we will head inside the computer science building next door!

On Thursday, October 27th we will be taking a trip to Common Roots Urban Farm to tour and volunteer for the afternoon from 1-3pm! Common roots is a community urban farming initiative that uses gardening as a way to increase community and mental well being and to foster greater connection and understanding of one another and the environment.

We’ll be heading down together for those who would like to travel with us - Meet at the bus stop #8332 on Spring garden before Robie street at 12:30pm.

Always wanted to know more about bees and how we can help keep them around?

We’re partnering with the Dalhousie Beekeeping Society to bring you a workshop on Wednesday, October 26th from 5:30-7:00pm at the Dal Student Union Building, Room 224.

This is a bee-friendly flower education session which will also include a seed giveaway!

We’ll be learning how to save seeds for the next season this Sunday during our regular farm day! Our friend Colleen will be in to help guide us through how to process and save seeds to be used to sow next year.

Drop by the garden from 11am to 12:30pm as usual!

Are you a plant lover? Looking to add some new cuttings to your collection or give away some of your many plants?

We’re having a plant swap at the garden on Sunday October 9th from 11am to 1pm! Drop by even if you don’t have plants to trade, but would like to grab some to start your collection.

This plant swap is in partnership with the Dalhousie Office of Sustainability.

The most requested workshop is back for another year!

This time, in collaboration with the Loaded Ladle, we are hosting another foraging workshop facilitated by David Wolpin. He will be guiding us through the woods at Sackville lakes, identifying and foraging mushrooms on Sunday, October 2nd from 11am to 1:30pm (in lieu of our regular farm day).

Meet at the garden at 10:50am and transportation will be provided — we will be leaving the garden at 11:00am.
