We are a student-run, community-centred urban garden

The Dalhousie Urban Garden, located at 1267 Henry Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a student-run gardening initiative that is open to the community. Each year, we grow a wide range of plants that are offered to our volunteers. The garden is primarily used as a teaching space for learning about urban agriculture, skill sharing, hosting educational plant-focused workshops and simply a place to bring students and community together.

About

Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive space for students, community members, student societies and academic programs to learn about the challenges and unique opportunities of urban gardening. We support efforts to engage and educate the university community regarding urban gardening and food production alternatives, via an experience-based, student volunteer-run campus urban garden project.
